dirty look hair extensions - review

does anyone else's hair just stop growing after a certain length?! mine definitely does. feels like I've been trying to grow it for years, and it just stops a little bit after my shoulders. i once sighed as i realised i would never been rapunzel...until i discovered dirty looks hair extensions. let me tell you folks, anything that rekindles a dream is worth your time, money, and definitely your love.

i've been umming and aahing about hair extensions for a while. i marvelled at effinhair on instagram for hours once, fully considering spending a whole month's salary on getting a proper weave, but my realistic head said no. so when i discovered dirty looks, i jumped for joy! they're specialists in hair extensions, with an extensive range of real hair to choose from - whether you want a full head, a fringe, or a few wefts. they've got it. they also are really good for price, as for decent hair extensions you can sometimes pay a bomb.

a quality i loved about dirty looks was the insanely good customer service. i sent over a picture of my hair from different angles, and the same day an expert had matched me up to the best suited colour. this is PERFECT for hair extensions newbies like me, who probably would have picked the wrong one...

so, what do i, i'm in love. it was love at first sight too. the product arrived in a gorgeous lilac box, which is enough to make me squeal in delight. lilac! LILAC. anyway. you open it up, and there is the hair sat in all its glory... BUT WAIT. before you get too over excited, there's another little pocket of hair which you must open first, as this is the little weft which allows you to see if it's the right colour. if it's not, you simply exchange. just don't open the main pocket of hair until you're absolutely sure, otherwise your return policy becomes void. and no one wants that.

whoever matched my hair colour was a genius. it was spot on. i then ripped open the rest of the hair. let me tell you something, there is A LOT of hair. and it's the best quality ever, like it's been basking in moroccan oil all its life. there are 10 wefts of hair in the full head extension set, all varying in size. they all come with the clips already sewn on *which i loved*, and with numbers on them from 1-10. this shows you what order to put them in, alongside a very handy little manual with top tips.

it took me a few tries to get them in, as i am a complete beginner, but with practice it will be better. once i'd popped them in, i was literally over the moon. whilst adding a little bit of length, my hair looked thick and luscious. i'm glad i didn't opt for the longer ones, as they may have been a bit too heavy and overly long. the secret to good extensions is for no one to know what's different. and these are absolutely perfect. the best mix of subtle and difference. <3 them.

i would DEFINITELY recommend dirty looks. i cannot wait for my next night out so i can swoosh around like the sassy pants i am, thank you for transforming my life!

until next time xo
