this blog is gonna be based on one of my best friends, Beth. she's always had a great style - with clothes i wish i could wear but just can't pull off :( here are a few of her fave pieces and looks at the moment...
this is one of beth's more casual outfits, which she would wear off to work or at the pub. the camo top is vintage and available pretty much everywhere at the moment, - khaki and camo was one of the biggest trends in the winter, and it's still relevant today. worn with leggings which she got on eBay here, it's a great casual look that makes you feel comfortable. worn with a long gold necklaces somewhat dresses it up, so if you did want to wear it to a dinner or a chilled night with the girls, it's best to wear a big piece of jewellery :). beth's wearing her white/pink/blue nike air maxes, which i absolutely love and am very very jealous of. all in all, a very cool casual outfit which i will most definitely be stealing.
these are two of beth's favourite jackets. having a good jacket is essential in my eyes, as it's always good to be able to chuck something over an outfit to keep warm but also stay stylish. the jacket on the left was found in the sale at H&M a while ago, and has a floral print all over it and is kind of in the style of a bomber jacket. the dark floral colours makes it easy to wear, as it's not too bright. i'd recommend clashing prints with this, such as the camo top above, as it strangely works. the vintage adidas jacket on the right is a satiny material and bright blue, and at the moment, vintage sports jackets like this are everywhere, so if you find one any time soon i recommend you buy it!
this is another going out outfit, and it's truly catered to beth's amazing original style. the jeans are vintage high waited levi's - levi are a key staple of my own wardrobe, and a good pair of levi cut off shorts or jeans are a must, and are perfect in the summer. worn with a pair of black Topshop-esque heels, it transforms the jeans from casual to dressy. the heels are identical to a pair from Topshop, but are from eBay. this is a key fashion tip - always look on eBay! there's normally a tonne of fantastic fakes on there - obviously having the real ones is a plus, but there's always a nice little plus with how much money you save!
the top that beth teamed with the outfit is from Topshop, but was bought a while ago so no links im afraid. the cut out pattern at the side adds a sexy edge to the top, and is again really flattering on the body - especially as the jeans are high waisted and this sits right on your waist. beth is a little designer sometimes as well, and added the studs around the bust area herself. this is really easy to do, and also super cheap as you can buy studs from eBay or a craft shop such as hobbycraft. it's creative, and gives a top which most people probably have a unique edge. beth is really good as customising her own clothes and making one off pieces, check out her ASOS page Grandma's Closet.
so, that's my best friend and her amazing style :) do you have a friend who's a style inspiration? xo
